What We Provide

Training

We provide training for foster carers at least once a month. We run the training over two days to ensure foster carers are able to attend. Usually we have duplicate training running on a weekday and a weekend.

Foster Carer Support Groups

We run monthly support groups so that foster carers can share their experiences and learn from each other. They are also accompanied by supervising social workers.

Social Events

We run regular social events for our foster carers, so that they can have a break and mingle with other foster carers.

24/7 Helpline

We have a 24-hour helpline that runs 365 days a year. We believe foster carers should never feel alone. We are always available to provide advice or just listen. We encourage our foster carers to express their thoughts and feelings so that we can cater for their needs. We value genuine and non-judgmental interaction.

Supervising Social Workers

Each foster carer will be allocated a social worker to support them in their development. Foster carers are able to contact their social worker about whatever concerns them with regards to a placement or their role as a foster carer. The social worker will do their utmost to support their foster carers.
